Annual church picnic SCCC 2006

Our second visit to SCCC, I felt a little nervous not knowing anyone. After we got our food, I scanned the pavilion and found a couple of empty spots. We sat down. I introduced myself and my husband to a woman who was soon to become my new friend named Kim.
I found out that she plays the piano during worship service and it was a treat for her to meet us new people first because she usually doesn't get to meet any new people because by the time she gets finished playing the piano everyone is gone in the sanctuary.
We both have a love for music. She introduced me to a school counselor named Brenda. I told them about my great need to find a new counseling practicum because mine got interrupted this summer and i need to find one so i can graduate from my masters program post haste by August 2006. I was pleasantly surprized to then be introduced to Rachel who just graduated with her BSW and we also chit chatted. I was able to network with them and they gave me some new leads for possible sites. I pray that maybe God will open up a window through one of these opportunities.
I have to remember to hold my plans loosely but i await with great anticipation to see how HE works things out. I praise His Holy name.
